Standing tall and standing out

Sunday night saw an amazing, affecting final performance from some extraordinary young voices. Facilitated by the brilliantly talented Joelle Taylor, the Resonate Project allowed a group of talented young people to tell their stories and their experiences in a performance that no-one who was there will ever forget! The journey these writers undertook over two weekends of workshops, resulted in stories, poems, polemics and songs delivered in front of a packed Bridport Arts Centre crowd. This collection of brave, unapologetic performances stands as a testament to the power of words to champion voices and change minds.

Our hugest thanks, once again, to Joelle as well as to the volunteer mentors who made this project possible - Elizabeth, Lu, Nicole, Raja, Rebecca, Valerie and Victoria. They gave up so much of their time to support the young people and we very much appreciate it.

A big thank you also, to Elliot Millson for his filming and Eddy Pearce for his photography.

Keep an eye on this space for a link to Elliot’s film of the final performance.
